Dogs are a lot of work tbh. Very high maintenance especially some breeds for different reasons.
They need constant attention (like some people here/in the community), cam very loud and obnoxious (same again) but are also extremely caring, loyal, selfless, even precognitive somehow.
Again it depends on breeds but they reflect extremely on what their owner is like too, a well raised dog will usually be a great behaved dog especially to others and even strangers too.
At work yesterday, a lovely, very friendly woman came in with her pug dog. It was do jolly, adorable and friendly. Pure preciousness. Rarely customers dogs will be friendly towards me but this one was really friendly to me and let me pet it a lot, it got really happy too, reminded me how much I love dogs especially.
Dogs are the best companions man could ever ask for but other animals including cats and birds make amazing pets too ofc. I've seen the weirdest and most dangerous and wildest animals being affectionate, tamed, friendly and such too.
Pets are amazing for emotional support, especially parrots, cats and most of all dogs.
That woman was also telling me her dog makes her go for walks 3 times a day including at 6am and they LOVE to sprint, explore, chase things etc.
You have to do so much research and be very careful what pet you choose but make the right choice and you'll be set for life, well for however long they live ofc, which us usually only a fraction of our own lifetomes unfortunately.
My Pets were my best friends as a child and I've met hundreds of wonderful Pets, they really change your life, usually for the better.
I recommend checking out animal rescues/sanctuaries/pet shelters, dog/cat etc cafes, pet shops/stores and whoever you know who has animals.
My friend has been severely depressed for many years, losing both of his uncles suddenly but he has a new kitten and that has brought purpose, healing, joy, companionship and wholesomness into his life.
