Aizen humbling Ichigo

or

Kaido humbling Luffy?

Both were quite humbling and hype, but I prefer the manga one over the anime one for One Piece ngl.

Still I am giving it to Aizen. The man used one finger to stop Ichigo's sword and proceeded to obliterate him. In the anime he even stopped Ichigo's theme song.

That's an unprecedented level of badassery.

Anime: Aizen because he stopped the main theme song and it was done really well, I hope they do the same for when they adapt chapter 678.

Manga: One Piece, Base Kaido just one shotting gear 4 luffy is still one of the most bad ass feats in the series imo and the manga double page spread of it is glorious.

God damn Aizen was such a hype beast. Literally every single time he was on panel it was beyond cool and captivating. Pure entertainment and hype. Might not be one of the best written villains, Kubo could have explored his motives more and expanded his back story a bit and not just the strong and lonely part, but he is still surely one of the greats.

But they both had the moment of humbling the MC and both were cool ngl, so figured a comparison was apt.

You’re overstating it. Ichigo barely survived the entire arc. Every single one of his fights was an extreme diff lol

Ichigo was higher. He just saved Rukia, mission accomplished. The big bad of the arc was beaten and accepted Ichigo’s choice to save his sister.

Then Aizen no diffs Ichigo, takes Rukia and leaves him holding on by his spine.

Luffy saved his crew mate, beat the big bad of the arc and then got a massive wank job by the entire world.

Not only that, but this was deeper into the story. Where the belief was that Luffy could at least hang with the Yonko now that he acquired FS. People act like this was a “known outcome” but at the time Luffy being 0 diff from wasn’t a common belief.
