Powers & Abilities Katakuri's Fruit Was Retconned To Paramecia Before His Awakening

Before I start, minor credit to @Dragon777 since he inspired me to research this.

Katakuri's abilities function similarly to a logia user's, with his fruit even being considered one in the manga before being retconned. Because of this similarity and the pre-retcon statements, a lot of people think that Katakuri's awakening is the template for what logia awakening will look like.

Contradicting this idea, however, is the fact that Katakuri was retconned to special paramecia before his awakening appeared in the manga.

He's retconned to special paramecia in the volume 86 release.
Which occurred on August 4, 2017.

This chapter was released in October 23, 2017, more than a full month and a half after the retcon.

Saw some people argue here argue that logia awakening will be identical to Katakuri's cuz of him literally being one before retcon, so I checked lol

Honestly, looking at the timeline, I actually think Katakuri's awakening is what made Oda change him to Paramecia.

I didn't think Kata awakened was the same as Rogia thought, because as I was saying it was practically the same as Doflamingo's one.

What I think is that Rogia can do what Kata can do, and PH is an example of that, and maybe they can also "power up" the user Ener-style:

In the last days I was thinking of something along the lines of Ener, but better for Kizaru. Something similar to a gear.

Like a particularly powerful "mode" with Kizaru a little bigger, but more importantly stronger and brighter.

You're literally describing Logia Awakening.. It might not be that hype..

i'm just noting that we've seen characters like Enel and Aramaki with high mastery of their dfs use transformations.

I don't believe we've seen logia awakenings used on panel yet(we've seen the aftermath in the case of Punk Hzard)
