Ok? The point is that Luffy isn't starting the fight completely fresh even if it doesn't make much of a difference, otherwise Oda wouldn't have drawn those patches

Okay, but it is to show he has been in a battle, Zoro and Sanji also have some dirt and bruise. but he's not bandaged up like a mummy. I doubt S-bear dealeed him hard damage.
By the same logic, also Oda drew the panels of Luffy eating (always been plot device to refill his stamina) a lot for a reason
