I explain this a little more in my response to Maynard. People can weaponise their supposed 'boundaries' as a way to control others. Forcing others to conform to other people's desires is another form of control and anti-freedom.

And it is your freedom to disagree, my dude.
Quote me a few example where people "weaponize" their boundary to force you ?

A good example of this is the case in the UK with the student who demands to be referred to as a cat. They want a litter tray in the bathrooms. They demand someone change their speech (how they refer to someone) to ensure their own desires are met. If people disagree with this, it is not freedom if you are forced to comply or be expelled from school (which happened to two teenage girls who disagreed to comply).

Let's not get into trans ideology either where if you, in good faith, make a mistake with a pronoun, you can be chewed out and verbally assailed without any recourse.

Identity politics is a way of weaponizing an internalized sense of victimhood as well.

What? Are you kidding??

I see. Sigh

Of course you are scared of that..

I would love a source for that

I am in no way transphobic. In my daily life I will respect people's pronouns, even if I disagree, because I don't want to hurt people -- but I inadvertently do sometimes, no doubt.

Way to try and discredit my view with a not-so-subtle comment.

“I feel like it’s been blown totally out proportion. To be clear, I’m in three schools a week all over the UK. I’ve never met a pupil, I’ve never met a teacher or a parent, who has ever talked about anybody identifying as a cat. And if they did, I would assume it was a teenager messing about.

“So it’s definitely not a trend in the way that it has been presented. And this is very much about trying to delegitimise those young people who are trans,” Devon said.
tbh it sounds like this 'I identify as a helicopter' bs

It legit happened though as there is literal video evidence of a teacher admonishing the teenage girls? It may not be systematic, but I was asked for an example, and I gave one?

Much like we all agree that right-wingers can spin stories to fit their narrative, it's also possible for left-wingers to try and spin negative stories to discredit them. I've listened to the video, and it doesn't feel staged. I went to school in the UK. This is definitely the sort of shit that happens.

Yeah this sounds like a bunch of girls that are trying to delegitimize transgender. Plus this is an isolated incident as said in the article.

SPoilers, I do to. This doesn't mean that you should have a moral panic about that. We all have LGBTQ+ phobe bias as we live in an heteronormative society, that's normal. The right thing to to is to say "I'm sorry" when you do it as it can hurt said people.

you posted only the first link at first.
I listened to the video now. This teacher is a terrible educator.

I agree. This is sadly common in the UK (the terrible educator).

My point is, I was giving you an example of weaponisation.
I will apologise, but at the same time, if someone gets in my face and gets aggressive for something I did not intend, I feel like it's in bad faith and they're nothing but people who are using their supposed position of weakness to control others.

If humans can identify as animals, can a white person identify as black?
I'd argue race is more of a social construct than sex tbh, though that's a little taboo to say.

Now its worth noting that in some case of DID ( dissociative identity disorder) people can sometimes identify as "non conventional" people or beings. Its doesn't means they are crazy. I suggest you guys check on it, its very interesting.

Case where people gets agressive because you made a misstake while apologyzing only happens on twitter with trolls, it doesn't happen in real life. So its not worth menitonning.

I am happy you've never met ideological nutjobs before in person. But I have. This is just wrong.

I sexually identify as Pretty/Prettiest

Refer to me as such
I'm not surprised someone who stares insistently at his reflection, self-aggrandizes and enjoys the smell of his own farts identifies this way, tbh.
