But it's easy to work around this.
First of all its in Kyoshiro's character to cut this man down even if he's bound. Kyoshiro is the guy who's face literally changed because of pure anger so why don't we see his anger in action. Let him do something out of anger that's somewhat dishonorable.
Secondly Sasaki can still survive. Kyoshiro stabs Sasaki through the heart then they leave. Then some fodder find Sasaki tied up and untie him. Then Sasaki on the verge of death transforms into an ancient zoan form and starts regenerating because of ancient zoan have high physical stats like that. Done. Sasaki can return and even if he's weakened, Oda can just make him fight another weakened guy so that it balances out.
This shit can be done without making Kyoshiro suddenly incompetent
Like seriously this is going to piss me off. I just know it. Thank god for spoilers existing so that my anger can be spread out for multiple days before its confirmed in the actual chapter
I'm expecting logic. Oda can even choose to cut away from it and just imply that Kyo killed the man. It doesn't have to be shown. It just has to make sense

That's true but One Piece is not Fairy Tail and we should get some crazy real sh*t from time to time.
ps. Oden's death in flashback doesn't count for me. I bet Oda used it to avoid deaths in the upcoming chapters ffs.

Denjiro is not the type of person to kill. He killed Hiyori to fake her death. kyoshiro also seems to be an intelligent person. Look how he brought lot of reinforcements to help Kinemon and judge the location of the port.
Moreover, they are in a battle in a territory with 2 yonko. Just 1 yonko, Luffy and his crews ran away from WCI now they have to face 2 yonkos. Brute strength alone won't help them here given the enemy has number advantage as strength advantage as well.
Denjiro, a smart person to know the real location of the port meeting location might want to interrogate Sasaki so he can get intels on Beast and Big Mom Pirates as many as he wants. Even little intel is valuable since the enemy has number and strength advantage.
Other possibility is Sasaki might be used as hostage or Jinbei might have history with Sasaki (both of them are fishman) so Oda might make Jinbei turn Sasaki into ally after Jinbei defeats him in an intense battle.
Turning every captured enemy into ally, interrogating captured enemy for intels and using captured enemy as hostage. The more forces with more disadvantage do that the more likely forces with disadvantage might have a chance to defeat forces with more number and strength.

Looking at the spoiler pic Denjiro ties Sasaki to the tree. It is weird Denjiro leaves him there. Need to wait for official translation to know what Denjiro says when Denjiro leaves Sasaki.
I think Sasaki eats ancient zoan so he is valuable. Ancient zoan is rare df. It gives the user high physical strength as stated by Law.
