He felt there were bigger targets D1 and wanted to go a different path, D1 was chaotic in general with no clear path which led to the No Lynch incident

D2 he said he would be fine with your lynch as well but there was once again bigger fish to fry in his eyes

D3 he ends up dead

Basically, you were in his PoE both days, never did he explicity say he thought you were town or even give you a town lean
