Brazil tried to sign many deals with most European nations.Most of them failed.The French are to blame too.Same thing with the US.People from the North Atlantic don't want to trade with us on equal grounds,they always come up with stuff that favors them and leaves us with the short stick.It is only natural for us to ally with people that that are more amicable to us.

This war actually favored Brazil in some ways and created a huge threat for the future.If Russia does take Ukraine,than the west loses a major source agricultural products.NATO will turn their eyes to South America and in classic European fashion they will come up with bullshit agreements that makes us sell stuff to them very cheaply.
