But in my head I can't actually visualize him being stronger. Like in a battle against other top tiers ice just seems massively inferior to magma or light.

Maybe post PH Kuzan could be ~ Kizaru but pre TS I had Kizaru slightly stronger

Any non logia character not wearing decent clothes is getting negged by Kuzan's awakening
Roger, Whitebeard, Shanks etc are all getting negged

Even Zoro who casually takes ice baths couldnt withstand the aftereffects of his fruit

I actually have Kizaru slightly stronger, this is what their pre-ts portrayal implies
I don’t think Kizaru not fighting for fleet admiral position matters when it is explicit he does not care for leading.
Kizaru would need to have a bad performance on Egghead to change my mind, but then it would be the end of admirals agenda for me.

On a completely unrelated note, what is this guy talking about Ozai getting disrespected lol? I remember TLA treating Ozai extremely reverently, the only exception being when Zuko reflected his Lightning back at him which was more a character moment for Zuko than Ozai disrespect lol.

And of course Ozai at EOS was the strongest fire bender in the series.

Yeah, before I was betting on a dark wooden stick, but with the Hamon thing...

Also, that panel was not corrected in the volume, so it had to be exactly like it was, and that thing is incredibly similar to a BB, if not totally identical.

But in his actual fight with Aang doesn’t he not really do anything other than chase around an Aang that didn’t want to fight and then get mogged by the avatar state?

That's the part that bothers me so much. If he used his sword enough in the past to make it a BB, why suddenly stop?

Probably a similar reason to why we just recently found out Kuzan had knuckles and Kizaru had an impressive defense, where the opponent wasn't "worthy enough" in a sense

He treated the scabbards and momo like scrubs during his time on Wano, I imagine if he was facing someone he thought as dangerous then he would pull out the blade. Cause black blade or not it's weird how he has it at all if he doesn't use it.
