Did Big Mom kill Luffy's brother (who died to protect Luffy, because Akainu wanted to Kill Luffy and Ace stopped him)?
Did BM give Luffy a humongous Scar on the chest that ache when Luffy hears her name?
Was BM at Ohara?

And so on.

Yeah, Luffy wanted to defeat BM, but the similarities end here.

Oda went as far as using a (gigantic) scar to connect Akainu and Luffy, even visually, and in OP scars are all incredibly relevant: Shanks-BB, Mihawk-Zoro, Kaido-Oden, and Luffy-Akainu.

Fun fact, Sabo has a scar...made by a CD. Why is so difficult thinking that one scarred by a CD, second in command of the Rev (Rev's enemy are the CDs), who declared war against CD, who was almost killed by Imu and the Gorosei and so on...could have CDs as enemies and not someone else?
Big Mom basically tried to steal and kill Sanji from SHP then she went on rage spree. She was more riled up against Luffy than Kaido who was quite setback even during fights.

Sabo has reasons to defeat Akainu: Ace's death, Kuma's probable death

Also, we'll have fire vs magma fight again
Round 1: fire vs magma (Ace vs Akainu)
Round 2: fire vs magma (Sabo vs Akainu)

It's more fitting than Luffy vs Akainu, even if both are possible

People who believe that Akainu has to definitely face Luffy are the same ones who believed that Luffy would definitely take Big Mom down
Honestly reverie killed any thought of Sabo vs Akainu. Sabo could’ve clashed with him like other revs clashed with other admirals, but instead he didn’t.

At this point Sabos role is connected to the celestial dragons. Not Akainu.

Yeah, and if Sanji did not agree in the first place and if Luffy did not successfully saved him, maybe the parallels would be a little more right.

But as things were the only thing in common between BM and Akainu was that Luffy wanted to beat them.

wano citizens dont get the benefits of the world government, so they dont have to pay taxes
so they arent criminals, agreeing with majority of the marines/world government means you are braindead
You realize they didn't want to bother going to Wano because Kaido was one of the Younko and the WG always needed to maintain these forces in balance, right? The Navy needs permission to do whatever they want, we literally have a Gorosei in person being escourted by an Admiral right now to attack an Younko's crew

You're trying to defend the world government or something? It's obvious they are considered criminals given the WG standards

"benefits of the world government" whaat :kobeha:

Seatonnes

waiting for Marvel Rivals

the world government is a dictatorship
you are literally defending them, they want to be the singular government
thats why they want to destroy the yonko because they are seperate governments

Ok then it may be Kuma's death that will trigger it

You realize that Luffy is not going to fight every villain in this story, right?

Like I perfectly understand Luffy vs Akainu is possible but Sabo vs Akainu is also possible in my eyes and until none of these happen, we can't tell for sure what direction Oda is taking

Yeah, I feel Oda has been repeating several times that RA true enemies are the celestial dragons for a reason.
Even coming from Sabo's mouth

There are several possible celestial dragon opponent for Sabo, either Garling, the second-in-chief Holy Knight or a gorosei .
