I have no malice or hatred for any racial group, let's make that extremely clear. I'm black and native myself. I however have zero tolerance for some guy spewing borderline white supremacist rhetoric when he has no fucking clue what life is like for us.
But you do believe that your opinion is more important because of those immutable characteristics right? That he could never possibly understand?
I think that (alongside true bigotry from real racists) is what makes racists struggle to change. We say they cannot possible EVER understand. Sure, they don't experience some things, but there is such thing as comparable suffering and empathy.
It's funny, because I'm as white as white can be, but I'm actually part-Indian (as in, from India). My family were literally servants (slaves) to whites, but some will just assume that I could never understand that injustice... when I was told stories about it by my grandparents who lived through it.
