I think that the fight ending next chapter sounds completely impossible. 2 chapters is definitely not enough considering what we have gotten so far. Furthermore, we all know that Oda doesn't write a fight that fast in general and if we follow typical Oda's norms, it's completely stupid to think that in the first place.
However, Oda showed he didn't care with Kid. He also made it clear that Nika (Gear 5) is supposed to be legendary fruit that scared off the Gorosei, which is Luffy's peak power so him winning against an admiral quickly may account for that.
Let's not forget that Shanks and Blackbeard have pulled similar feats and they are yonko like Luffy.
Finally, let's keep in mind that this is in context of the Egghead incident whose outcome will shock the entire world.
Everything is possible and the fight may conclude next chapter, especially since Luffy already went Gear 5.

The Egghead incident was set in motion 3 months ago.
Somebody told the World Government that Vegapunk was researching the void century.
As a consequence, the WG sent CP5, CP7 and CP8 to investigate Egghead but all their ships disappeared.
Then, the Gorosei talked to Vegapunk and revealed additional stuff and then ordered Vegapunk's assassination.
They ordered CP0 to assassinate Vegapunk but he resisted.
So, the WG sent Saturn with Admiral Kizaru and different naval branches and raised their caution to total war imminent because they wanted to stop Vegapunk and expected anything.
Then, the Emperor Strawhat Luffy's ship suddenly appeared in their way to Egghead and they did not feel ok with this.
The chain of events is going to culminate tomorrow and the outcome will shock the world!
What will shock the world? Luffy defeating Kizaru because this was a WG mission and it was not supposed to be in the medias at all.
They saw an Emperor go to the island they were heading towards and instead of stopping, they shrugged it off and acted as if it wasn't a big deal. So yes, Luffy's Emperor status has to be reasserted here.
You can't contradict this because I literally wrote down what is written in chapter 1078.

Admiral fans will be finished. Luffy downplayers will be finished. That being said, where is the editors comment? Is it on the chapter?
"A shock they never saw coming", you at least understand what Oda tried to do with narrator's words that concern the "outcome" of the Egghead incident. When Oda says that this will shock the entire world, it means that this will shock the fandom. When he made Luffy have a 1.5 billion bounty, he made everyone shocked before revealing the bounty, that's how Oda writes the story. What shocks the OP world is what is going to shock us. Why do you think he made Shanks one shot Kid? Maybe so we at least experience this once before Luffy does it.
