Honestly, I think Zoro just has better control over it now. In the King fight, it was going rampant, because Zoro had just unlocked it. But now he can control it better, so he doesn't get burned out extremely fast. I doubt we will ever see Zoro use AdCoC like he did in the King fight ever again. It's foolish to ramp your Haki up to 100, and allow it to pour out like that.

Maybe with the controlled smoke like this chapter but acoc you go full force.

Seeing the Zorobois struggling to somehow justify Zoro vs bare hands Lucci is amusing.
It's like when they believe in Zoro vs Kaido and they got Zoro vs "mere 1° Commander" (they called him like this) King.

Powerscaling is very important for the story tho. It gives us a sense of progression and growth. If we throw all that out the window I think it's a huge issue.
