Because it's special to swordsmanship abilities, not overall CoA Haki level.

It probably requires a close bond between the swordsman and the sword, those people don't care about swordsmanship.

Already disproven
Oden had enma pre teens
is shown on panel using koka from 18- 39
his sword is passed down to his kid it means that much to him.
Couldnt do it

yet zoro will make enma black
in months max

Some people say that blackening a blade is related to a bond between swordsmen and their swords, i doubt that, since we have characters like shanks and rayleigh, whatever the case i hope oda would give us a satisfactory answer

Only true swordsman can blacken their blades. So, Mihawk can and Zoro will be able too as well.

Vs wb as a kid with buggy used a sword
Had many sword duels with mihawk as a sword
Has a named sword called gryphon
Reached for his sword vs ace
Ace novel says when his coc isnt enough he reaches for his sword
Blocks wb with his sword
Blocks akainu with his sword
Challenges marineford raising his sword.



You... im not sure hes a swordsman

Based on the oden v zoro thread if zoro gets a black blade this arc they dont matter much. It doesn't put you above swordsmen that cant
  1. If zoro makes enma black this arc hell surpass oden but doesn't mean hell surpass any other top tier swordsman
  2. If zoro makes any sword thats not enma black it doesn't mean hed be stronger but any top tier oden included. Meaning it matters even less

Wtf are you on about ?
Shanks and ray have better coa and coo than oden. Who didnt have any advanced haki
So zoro surpassing oden doesnt mean he surpasses them as hes weaker than them.

We never learned how good odens coo or coa was
All we know is he had both and was able to scar kaido using coa

Why don't they have black blades then if its something that zoro will do this arc who will apparently still be weaker then them
