People can be deluded and hallucinate but that won't be the truth. Zolobois are so deluded that even modern psychiatry will fail to bring them back to reality.

"The imaginary being out in the sky above" is more a misconception of common sense of ordinary religious people than anything. The god of catholic doctrine is closer to the neoplatonic "one", or even brahman.
