Yamato is Katakuri. He is the son of Big Mom and Kaido (Daifuku and Oven have been retconned from the story). Katakuri showed up to Wano to wait on Luffy so that he could ally with him against the new Rox.

Funny enough, he's assumed to be around the same height as Kata (5 meters)

Unless Shiryu has the same unique physiology as Blackbeard, I doubt he can have the Suke Suke and Kira Kira fruit at the same time.

I think Blackbeard's Yami Yami no Mi awakening might have something to do with having 2 DF's or Blackbeard just did huge research and knows the way to avoid death after eating two.

Yes I also have this thought. Yamato will be a villain but then we will learn of his sad backstory and how he really detests Kaido etc. Essentially redeeming him.

I don't think Oda will follow suit with Kaido and try and redeem him with a backstory. At least I hope not.
