what about when Mihawk said he will remain at the top of the world until Zoro fights him again
is Mihawk lying here? Is he not at the top of the world as we speak? Has he ever been at the top of the world? Why did Mihawk say this to Zoro when he knew Shanks and the bald Gorosei exist (btw chapter 1094 confirms that people know the Gorosei can fight)
it’s all well and good to say “What mihawk said to Zoro requires nuance and shouldn’t be taken at face value because Shanks is not a Pure swordsmans and of course Mihawk is only talking pure swordsmen who don’t use haki”… But when anyone says there might be any nuance to what Mihawk says about Whitebeard, it’s beyond any further investigation right? Like I can’t say stuff like “Sengoku calls Whitebeard the strongest man in the world, yet immediately afterwards Whitebeard himself says he is not the strongest man in the world implying Whitebeard’s perception from his glory days is still convincing Sengoku AND ANYONE WHO DOESNT KNOW HIM PERSONALLY that he is still as powerful as the rumors say when in reality he himself and all his close allies can tell he has fallen off”
one statement by mihawk requires nuance and caveats and maybe mihawk is secretly a big fucking liar but other statements by mihawk are blatantly direct and Mihawk is definitely telling the truth not only from his PoV, he is also telling the In Story God’s eye view truth like he is definitely the narrator in that scene and is completely infallible
