Chapter Discussion The monster trio is over. Don’t ever mention Sanji in the same sentence as Zoro. Until he gets the feats to back it up.
This is a great response. But Zoro looked strong vs Kuma. That led to Zoros greatest moment. Saturn could have looked strong against somebody else. Why does it always have to be Sanji? How can we consider Sanji strong if he’s constantly used as a hype tool? He loses value in terms of strength that way. Oda should pick on somebody else. Hell use Jinbei. But we can wait to the end of the arc if he does something to redeem himself I’ll make a thread about that too.

Base Sanji got hit by a Gorosei and bleed a little, then stopped from moving from a unknown ability. Thats the insane hypetool here? Apoo must be some kind of god then
If we are being honest here, Luffy was done way worse by Lucci by needing to use Gear 5, and 1000x worse against Kizaru, since he needed to be saved after a few minutes of battle, where nothing relevant happened, and Kizaru is still awaken.
Meawhile Zoro is fighting that same Lucci for several chapters at this point, seemingly using one of his strongest fighting modes. How isn't all of that considered a hypetool by your standards? One thing leads to another
This can't even be considered a bare minimum hypetool because Sanji literally didn't put any effort into it. He put way more effort against the Seraphim to protect Nami than he did now, not even comparable

I don't think odas gonna have sanji looking terrible all arc. He just needs to establish the sh as the underdogs and hype the gorosei. Everyone's been questioning power levels this entire arc and Odas been shitting on expectations.

I do agree tho. But if he used jimbei people would lose faith in him even faster than sanji. He's not gonna get the feats sanji gets going forward. His reputation can't be somewhat redeemed after being shitted on.
Odas kinda stale with his methods but at least they work. Kinda. Lmao. We all miss the pre ts dynamics but oda seems to be relying heavily on that prior portrayal. I hope we see a turnaround and I'm pretty sure we will. Eggheads been pretty good so far. Almost like the pre ts. Let's see how it plays out.

I don’t even talk about Page One or Germa. He didn’t defeat Page One, he didn’t have a real fight with Germa, if I count anything from Germa he lost against Judge and Niji. They had to save him because he was too slow and they told him that.
The only one I bash is Queen. Sanji has good character showings but from a strength perspective he has more bad showings.
