Questions & Mysteries Can we already kinda guess that its been Figarland Garling to who Whitebeard referred about his Scar... ?? do you think we are gonna see it soon?

We don't know if WB was even talking about Garling tbh. Oda COULD have already planned the Shanks story line as far back as Enies lobby or even from the get go. But, that just raises more questions like,

We have seen WB after God valley. In his fight against Roger pirates, he had no scars. And he didn't have it in his MF flashback to meeting and drinking with Roger either.

So, if Oda had already known who the scar was from when he wrote that in Post Enies Lobby, he had more than two chances to show us the scar for the sake of continuity/plot. Oda is usually pretty careful about stuff like that too. So, chances are low that it was just an art error that got through to volume editions too.

Or, oda hadn't completely fleshed it all out yet and just used what he had already planted, as is with most of the "foreshadowing" in the series. It's still an amazing skill to leave vague stuff in chapters that he could potentially use and work into the story in the future though.

Anyway, OT,

If they did fight, it was probably never resolved fully. Garling probably gave him the scar in the fight but didn't put him down completely. And they all went their separate ways after/even before the whole incident was over.

▪︎ We all already know what Whitebeard said to Shanks about his Scar on the Chest...

▪︎ Figarland seems to be in some relation with Shanks and we have a Flashback about Valley so it all leads up to the Point where we are gonna see the Fight between Whitebeard and Figarland Garling

▪︎ Do you think someone won in that Fight btw? ( If they fought )

I don't think WB was defeated, following the scar reasoning:
  • Kaido's scar hurts when he remembers the fight, but he defeated Oden.
  • Shanks' scar throbbed when he thought of BB, but neither Shanks nor BB defeated each other.
  • WB's scar throbs when he looks at Shanks.
Based on these two scar examples, in neither case did the person who got the scar lose, so it might be the same for WB here.
