Character Discussion Are people too critical when it comes to Sanji?

No, people just absorb his criticisms more because he's an important character, there are straw hats though who get criticized far worse like Usopp and unlike with Sanji who gets moments for his fans to defend him against said criticisms, Oda sides with Usopp's haters so you can't say anything

And people are not too critical about Sanji, it's because he is liked by many and is one of the most relevant characters in the show so he is gonna be criticize or wanked anyways, just like Zoro and Luffy

The same goes for Sanji. I didn't particularly enjoy his presence when I first started watching One Piece dubs as a wee teen, and anime was still new to me. He grew on me over time as I transitioned over to subs, as did most of the other crew members, such as Brook.

If Zoro was coughing blood and got eye-diffed by Saturn instead of Sanji you know damn well the toxicity would be far higher. Let us be real here my fellow agenda pushers okay? Sanji is, was, and always will be a hype tool when Oda needs him to be. Some of his fans can't just accept this I know, but that does not change the facts.
Like genuinely, if you think this is the last time? Saddle up because Oda has a few more potential Top Tiers he needs to hype. Prepare for Sanji getting his super-bones broken by an Elbaf big shot now instead of later. Because the next hype tool moment IS coming. Just a matter of when.

But tbh oda is also guilty for his post TS treatment the gag has become his perrsonality characters like franky and Ussop have more hype than him and barely mr prince moments
