General & Others Honest Thoughts on Luffy Vs Kizaru?

So this is technically the longest Yonko Vs Admiral Fight we’ve seen series , what are your thoughts on this fight? Did it live up to the hype?

Personally The fight was fun to see initially but when I think about how this is two top tiers fighting it feels like it should’ve been a bit more epic than this. I’m sure Toei will bail Oda out but Oda in the Manga gotta improve his fights fr.

The real fight hasn't even started yet.
Luffy is focused on protecting Vegapunk, while Kizaru is focused on killing Vegapunk, so both of them can't concentrate on each other, it's more like a Tom & Jerry game than a fight.

But up until now it has been very boring, tbh.
Hopefully the Round 2 will be better.

It’s fairly underwhelming
It’s like when Luffy goes into Gear 5, He simply stops trying to attack and instead ops to play around with his opponents

When he was in base and snakeman, you could feel the weight in his punches, you felt actual TENSION

Now everything is a joke. At no point during the kaido fight (this goes for both the anime and manga) did i feel like Luffy was truly doing any damage even though he was. This is the exact same way I feel, Gear 5th feels weightless

Worst part too is Kizaru getting absolutely 1 shotted. Now I am a firm believer of the Yonko being above the Admirals but……sheesh….this is beyond bad
I at least thought it’d be a high to extreme diff bout

It's really not a fight they fought but it wasn't a fight if that makes any sense

They weren't out to take each other down

Kizaru was there to kill VP
Luffy was there to protect him

The entire "fight" Kizaru was trying to get pass Luffy to kill VP

And Luffy was simply trying to keep Kizaru away from VP

Maybe once they both wake up

The fight will be an actual fight

Especially with Kizaru's boss there

Underwhelming is a good word, I knew that after the introduction of the Gorosei the admirals were going to take a back seat but I wasn't expecting them to be straight up treated like side characters.

Still interesting to see though.

Not a fight but I've said it already, that's what we're getting with G5. It's a trolling ability, no opponent will be taken seriously from now on by Luffy when he uses this form.
Maybe BB with the Yami Yami will cancel his df and we might see a good fight again from Luffy but I haven't got much hope.
Forget about Luffy's fights, they will just be gags.
Oda retconed Luffy's df just so he could have fun and draw the worst fucking fights ever, what a joke :whitepress:
That might have been the worst decision taken by a mangaka for his manga in the history of manga.
