@JohnnyBme have you ever come across any videos of Israelis where the Hebrew is intentionally mistranslated in order to make Israelis look bad?

Given how most people don’t speak Hebrew, it’s a thought I often have in the back of my head when I see videos of Israelis saying deranged things from sources I don’t trust(twitter and other social media)
The English speaking Israeli MPs are hardly being mistranslated ,no?

Not like official stuff

more like just clips you see on social media of Israelis being assholes, wishing the death of Palestinians, stuff like that.

Not that I don’t believe there are people in Israel who believe those things. But I feel like subtitles create the possibility for disinformation.

I’ve read some pretty clown takes on jpost. Like this:

Jewish conversion has existed for centuries. It’s literally in the book of Ruth, which is part of the Tanakh(“Old Testament”).

The oral law is a fundamental part of Judaism. That’s why the religion is technically called “Rabbinical Judaism”, because it derives from the teachings of the rabbi.

You can’t just say “it’s not in the Torah therefore it’s not valid”. Because the Torah isn’t the end all be all for Judaism. I feel like reducing Judaism to just the Torah honestly ruins one of the best parts of the religion.

Also conversion benefits the Jewish community.

It makes to where Jews who intermarry can convert their partners and then raise the family Jewish.

Also converts seems to be extremely involved in the religion. I know this one family who had like 11 kids and the entire family converted to Judaism. All of those guys are extremely devout, more so than me.

I particularly am more involved in the synagogue than a lot of born Jewish people I know. There have been times where during the synagogue’s daily prayer, it was literally just me and 2 other guys.

It just gets worse and worse in Gaza.

When the shoe is on the other foot, i hope the palestinians show the zionist terrorists, the same amounts of compassion and mercy that they were shown for 75+ years. I really do
I just want the war to end and for everyone to coexist

So do I, Palestine had all 3 abrahamic faiths living togther for centuries. So we know its possible, but whenever Europe (and their bastard children in north america) gets involved, that's when the fuck ups start

But that will never happen as long as there's people with the same mindset as Netanyahu the filthy degenerate. And as long as America gives them impunity to do anything with 0 consequences.

I think Netanyahu and other high ranking officials of the Israeli government should face war crime charges.

The creation of Israel was a mistake but it's far too late for that hindsight.
Now even if Hamas were to completely surrender or get destroyed i can't see the palestinians living in Gaza ever beijg able to live in peace.
Like even if Gaza straight up turned into Israeli territory you know those people wouod never be treated like citizens.
I think israel could have worked if the Jews just resigned themselves to a small portion of land and made a sort of microstate, like Liechtenstein or Andorra

That wouldn’t have required any real expulsions or human rights violations. And I doubt the Arabs would really give a fuck if Jews just made a city of their own. Especially if they were heavily armed and had the backing of the US.

The issue is the israelis claiming a land that was 90% Arab and subsequently depopulating it
