No the story that long cause Oda love adding and expanding on lots of stuff a few flashback panels won't have change anything seeing someone getting there DF.
Since the flashback is like 30 years worth of a person life .

And that is exactly why One Piece is 1100 chapters and 26 years. As an author, you should know when to cut out the unnecessary stuff. That is basic 101 writing. Oda needs to learn how to focus, combine characters and hop over detours. This chapter was 90% filler. Just a bunch of fanservice characters having filler dialogue.

This Chapter is awesome Idk how Oda put so mucj info in a single chapter. Fights are all good but lore chapters that progress the story have so much info that I enjoy reading them more.

But people also enjoy filler like this , it awesome seeing so many big names together something we might not see again . ( even when the fully god valley flash back comes around )
Like Oda off screen PX fight and most of the Kizaru fight , half chapter of this stuff don't mean much since it already been 1100 chapters .
