Okay, Bonney being a clone of Ginny or memoryless Ginny might work, but it doesn't feel like the level of potency that Oda tends to go for.

The former I could possibly see, but the latter I don't understand why that would be considered such a great secret to hide from Bonney.

However, we are on clone island. The WG has cloned the Warlords and Vegapunk was cloning/testing Rocks Pirates. Stussy is the most obvious example, but we already have Weevil as another example of potential cloning shenanigans and Vegapunk was also experimenting on Kaido.

Bonney appeared to be a great concern of the WG for quite a while, which seems way more potent than just a hostage to keep Kuma in line (After all Akainu was concerned about her even after Kuma was "dead")

Honestly, the initial most obvious answer, might actually be the correct one. Maybe Bonney actually is a Linlin clone. And the secret that Vegapunk is hiding is that she is the reason Kuma's life fell apart.

Nah I disagree. This FB is about Kuma, nit Bonney, and all of Oda's sad flashbacks end positively for current characters. This includes every strawhat, Law and a myriad of arc characters.

Right now, his death flag is a complete red herring imo

I would much prefer Bonney to be a clone than actually Ginny.

If Bonney is a clone, she’d basically be the child Ginny and Kuma always wanted to have together but never could.

If Bonney is Ginny, then Bonney’s “daddy” is actually a dude she literally asked to marry.

In two chapters Oda has made Kuma one of my fave characters. Bro sacrificing himself for others since he was a child. I might legit cry if the Drums of Liberation leads to Kuma awakening his dormant consciousness.
