What is your favorite Iai ShiShi SonSon technique from Wado Ichimonji and Rate them in order
from best to last..


Tell me if i missed one..

- Alabasta against Daz Bones

- Enies Lobby against Kaku

- Thriller Bark against Kuma

- Punk Hazard on the Dragon

- Onigashima against Apoo

Here's my personal rating..

1. Onigashima Apoo - It just looks so cold, in silhouette no named attack..
2. Alabasta - Iconic first Shishi SonSon, angle from below with Blood droplets floating in the air..

3. Punk Hazard - First ShiShi SonSon with Wado held in mouth, mysterious execution there, suggesting Wado's powers..

4. Thriller Bark - Looks really cool but a fake Iai executed with Sandai with a run up..

5. Onigashima King - Landing on one Knee is pretty dope, but it did no damage..

6. Enies Lobby - Not really grandiose, it was matched by Kaku with his own attack..

All zoro skills are the same.

Says the name, teleports to the back of the enemy, strikes a pose, camera zoom on Zoro's face and that's it.

None of Zoro's other attacks is ever gonna top this Shishi Sonson for me.

That was a direct 1:1 adaptation of manga as well.

Yup, exactly why its one of the best attacks in the series.

I hate what the anime did for Shishi Sonson in the King fight. The green aura bs was already trash and then on top of that they completely changed how fast zoro did the attack.

The one against Daz is the most iconic, it was the First and was a huge step in Zoro's growth.

The one against Kaku is the most forgettable since it was countered by Kaku's Rankyaku.

The one against Kuma was cool cause it saved Luffy from the strongest enemy met at that point.

The one against the Dragon needs a honorable mention because it actually killed the target.

The one against Apoo is the coldest of the bunch, the amount of focus Zoro put in it is underrated.

My personal favorite is the one against Apoo. Hell, the whole sequence of Zoro dropping Apoo in the middle of Onigashima Live Floor and later shouting his personal declaration of war in full rage is probably my favorite Zoro moment in the entire story. Top 5 for sure.

Not gonna lie brother root beer I haven’t laughed so hard at something on this forum in a while just imagining zoro hitting the stance and then not moving his feet but instantly teleporting has me in near tears

I'm glad that you're enjoying yourself..

But what do you think Iai ShiShi SonSon is, out of all 4 examples.. The only one with Kuma(Sandai) we see dashing step panel.. All others(Wado Ichimonji) are instant leap, that's why it's so cool and impressive..
