kuma father mention nika saving kuma, that a big hint from oda that luffy will save kuma and take him and his daughter to sea..kuma already help sh/save them before time skip, asking nothing in return. he fits higher chance being saved/join up with luffy. imo
every time i see character try to force there way on luffy crew, oda sends them out the door.

I like the idea, it would be cruel to have Kuma suffer this much and die in front of Bonney.
The main problem is, Oda already removed half of Kuma's face & one leg and Oda never gives these type of mortal injuries to characters who are going to be alive at the end of it all.
Like I'm sure that he'll get his long-due conclusion with Bonney & Bonney will travel the world like she dreamed of, but i dont see Kuma surviving tbh.

Why do I think Kuma was accumulating all this pain and suffering for this long to compress it into another
