No Rej lol. A lot of people don't really like Asta. Especially anime Asta with the constant yelling. A big selling point for a lot of peeps I know that follow BC was Yami in the start, Julius at the beginning and now Lucius.

Blasphemious kek-talk, idek who this Lucius is, and I never fookn cared about Julius. He was dope but whatever. Asta improvement = overshadowing all those plebs in the show.
People are not correctly consuming Black Clover then. I analysed this masterpiece through and through.
Maybe lil shounen kiddies will enjoy Yami more at the beginning.
Anyway Lady Noe and Nero > your whackass shounen boiz. Lmao.

Idek who this Lucius is lolol. Pretty sure once I will get to him I will still enjoy the show mostly for Asta and Noelle. Like I did since the first arc.

Pretty sure an arc without Asta yelling is not an Black Clover arc. Pepega
Also pretty sure you can't just say a villain "stole the show". Some villans have to be designed/written like that by default or they wouldnt work conceptually. Especially the longer there is a build up for an endgame villain. The "stole the show" aspect should only be counted for deuteragonists and similairs, rival charaters and returning stage characters.
So for me, to be rational and neutral grounded; yes the captains in Black Clover have often stolen the show from Asta/Noelle/Yuno. Without doubts, this is neccessary writingwise so the ceiling for our MCs gets established in the world, atleast on the protagonistside.
As a Black Clover hardcore analyst I will agree to say that Yami here is one of the exclusive characters in the show that steals the show. But only if one likes Asta Noe Yuno less than him. I love Yami alot but he is also partially a gag character and hmm...an idol character too.

I think stealing the show is a concept that really worked well in Blue Lock. Nagi has been my preferred choice here.

Wait you're an anime only? Because at one point of the story, that has not yet been animated, people were ready to drop Black Clover completely. One event saved it all and made it so better.

I think any character works for that. Some villains absolutely end up stealing the show from the main characters so much that you start rooting for them.

Asta is fine as an MC. Not great, not too bad. Middle of the road. Better than say Deku, Luffy, worse than the likes of Light, Edward, Allen, etc.
Noelle is great yeah.

Yes Yami does indeed steal the show. We agree there. All the way back when he finishes off Vetto till nowadays.
I like Yami more than any of the three. Yami's always been among my top 3 fave characters. Julius>Yami>Zenon for me since the start lol.
Lol no worries. I like talking about these things so it's nice to have some discussion going.
A lot of them steal the show yes. Nagi, Chigiri, Rin, Kaiser.
Black Clover has moved to Jump Giga. They publish one chapter per season, so next chapter should be in December. I don't think there's only 2 chapters left tho but we'll see.

Yeah all I heard was something about "final chapters" and that it moved magazines. But idk how much is left and if it is foreseeable. Leaving hat one to the manga readers. Hope ya'll will have an enjoyable manga ending. It is always clear for me that these type of shows will receive some kind of extended anime ending. Which imho is nothing wrong with. Appreciateable aslong it is not like Naruto fillers lolol.
Also back to the thread:
Early/Middle Naruto vs Kakashi

Wouldnโt say Jolyne necessarily had the show stolen. Jotaro was out for about all of Part 6 and Pucci is a great villain but not enough to outright steal it from Jolyne.
Not with gems from her like this
Adding on to JoJo is Part 1
MC - Johnathan, show stealer Dio full stop, followed by Speedwagon if just for the memes alone.
Obviously those who stole the show because them literally carrying it made the said show interesting to begin with. There are exceptions like Jojo Part 7 where both the MC and the one who low key carried it were enjoyable, but it takes a certain level of characterization for it to mesh like that. In the case of Bleach Ichigo just didnโt have the goals to drive the plot when the other characters did, I mean Rukia was supposed to be the MC so it makes sense
Zoro didnโt steal the show tho. One Piece is still very Luffy centric to this day. Zoro has had moments and will continue to have those moments but he doesnโt fit the criteria mentioned in the OP at all. Same goes Mereoleona, Yami has that for Lacking Clover

Stop enforcing your ideals on him.
He specifically said "he/she" reads the following manga for these character. For him they probably stole the show from MC.
Everyone for different criteria.
