Ichiruki had almost nothing going on in the manga, you're just another example of someone who sees some basic tropes between a guy and a girl and makes stupid assumptions lol

Luffy giving his hat specifically to Nami multiple times is more like Ichigo promising to protect Orihime, or Nami crying for Luffy and standing up to Kaido being more like Orihime breaking down when Ulquiorra killed Ichigo.

Here's the best thing to do: stop thinking Oda has to write things exactly like Toriyama, Kishimoto, Kubo or anyone else wrote their stories. I read the Bleach manga and I knew Ichihime was endgame after Soul Society. I've been reading One Piece and I know Luffy x Hancock will never be a thing, and only Nami is a possibility if Oda wants to pair Luffy up with a woman because she has the strongest bond with him.
