As I Got Mihawk tag it's over for y'all.
I'll start simple , with Mihawk downplay with scars as he was not able to give any scar to shanks but Blackbeard did , and Hence I have seen threads floating around of Teach Haki > Mihawk Haki.
or Teach > Mihawk in general.

Debunking this is very easy , Pretty sure there must be thread made on this already , I couldn't find any , if there is link it to me and mods delete this one please.
why? because Shanks had no Scar during Roger execution when he was 15 year old.
But the 17 year old one , who approached Yassop to start his own crew (Or maybe already have one , It's still confusing on who was the first mate Yassop or Benn) , Benn was much older and had his own reputation in pirate world and was 26 year old , it's highly unlikely that someone of that caliber would follow a 15/16 year old kid.
There cannot be too many coincidences,
Shanks is hiding his scar , means it's either fresh or he's purposely hiding it.
Another evidence being ,
He's jolly Roger , it shows us a scar.
If he created his crew at the age of 17 , his jolly roger should be around the same as well.
- Another fact being , it's not a major one and is my headcanon , Rayleigh saying "I never liked you" to Blackbeard , but he never did anything to Rayleigh to even begin with , There can be two cases for this , Either he doesn't like BB because of what he did in Marineford or Shanks told him about Blackbeard that he gave him his scar. (do not count this one as this one simply is my headcanon)
Now the arguments I'll be given are :
- Also that's very young roger , why would someone that young have a mustache lmao.
- if you don't agree with me give me idea of jolly roger that roger had and changed it later on..... only distinguishable feature is his straw hat. but neither of them (Shanks Included) added it to the jolly roger , if they did in the past , someone must have pointed it out by now that his jolly roger is actually roger pirate jolly roger.
- also Roger don't even have 2 mustaches like in his jolly roger , neither they are blonde lmao.
- If not anything above , roger could have been obsessed over mustaches , because mustache is something people can grow later on , but scar? lol no.
for the second arguement.
- Give me examples of the people who have changed their jolly rogers , there's barely any. WB had design changes but it's very minor and back ground detail not the facial feature , it remained the same.
- Kid had new scar as well but still his jolly roger is same.

- Mihawk and Shanks both Fought two very different shanks and at very different age.
- 24 years ago , at roger execution shanks age was 15 year old. (Shanks Current age - 39)
- 2 Years later , Shanks started his crew when he approached Yassop. Shanks age was 17 at this point. (Similar to Luffy)
- Blackbeard age during Roger execution was 16 year old and 2 years later he was 18.
why? because Shanks had no Scar during Roger execution when he was 15 year old.

- There's no direct evidence to anyone using Haki at the age of 16. Unconsciously CoC and CoO was used but no record of CoA.
- Rayleigh either Taught him Haki or he learned it himself witnessing Roger , Rayleigh , Oden and Whitebeard.
- but that kid knows no Haki , Where as Blackbeard 16 or 17 year old probably didn't knew Haki either.
- Even if he did , I'll Follow the example of current Straw hats , Luffy started at the age of 17 and Zoro at the age of 19 and Like Mihawk , Zoro was already Infamous even before Shanks came to the sea with his own crew.
- Shanks and Blackbeard fought either no Haki battle or fodder level Haki battle.
- Another point to be noted is , " over 20 years ago , 20+ years ago WB took over Fishmen Island from there we got this panel "

- and after that this weapon was never used by BB , we never saw him use it again.
- my guess WB took over Fishmen Island right after Roger Execution or a year later. Because the influx of pirates increased with roger announcing about One piece.

- all the points I have given are from the same timeline. they are not even from different timelines.
Time frame we know Mihawk fought Shanks was
- Before he lost his hand which was 12 years ago.
- 12 years ago Shanks had a Billion bounty.
- Shanks next bounty Updated was probably when he Became Yonkou, which is six years ago from the current timeline.
- BB and shanks had made no contact for a very long time and last time Marineford and before that it was probably.
Blackbeard fought shanks 21-23 years ago ,
Mihawk was fighting shanks 12 years ago.
that's like 10 year difference and a stronger shanks.
15/16/17 year old shanks has no feat and probably a weakling
like Luffy or Ace (I mean by current standards they are weak).
BB didn't any haki to even scar shanks , neither shanks could defend with haki.
Stop saying BB managed to give shanks a scar and Mihawk couldn't , shanks himself admitted he has got multiple scars over the years of fights
"Suffered various wounds" , not all wounds leave scar , Crocodile stabbed through luffy , so did kata but still only visible Scar we can see is the one akainu gave him and another being face which luffy gave to himself.
Blackbeard fought fodder Shanks not the stronger one , he ran away in Marineford saying "not ready yet". Shanks was ready to throw hands lol.
