It not like she expand her body using air like luffy does which is the whole aspect of gear 3 before G5 happen .
She think Nika could have big arm just like how she can grow bigger on her own and did move with big arm .
If anything it look more like gear 5 when luffy make his arm bigger in muscle mode for some moves but the size of his fist don't change.

I'm not trying to break down how what she does in order to expand her arm, that bullshit is for Oda to explain.

Luffy in G5 can do everything the other gears can, as they're all an offshoot of his freedom mode gear. So I'm not nitpicking G3 or 5, but that she's using his expanding arm ability herself

I don't mind storytelling that goes against expectations and worn out tropes.

"Against worn-out tropes": By simply making a third-rate standard shonen beginning in the middle of nowhere. Oda is simply trying to be pretentious by going against wishes, even if he just does the most basic, tropey stuff. (Or trying to show off with an empty panel of an old character, like the "remember my cool character Doflamingo?" last time, and so on.)

Soon does momo but when he grew up , dragon form became huge and his human form became tank without any training what so ever .
Her mind being child don't mean she not having adult power in her adult or distorted future forms.

Carrot was introduced early but Inu and Neko had more focus in her intro arc. And Pedro had more focus in the next arc.
Although Yamato had a fair bit of focus in her arc, she had a forced introduction and appeared out of nowhere in the climax of the arc.
Bonney on the other hand was introduced ages ago and had a solid build up. Now she even has a whole arc for herself with the most panel time.

Bonney is 99% confirmed to join. The other 1% chance being that she is Tra-guy 2.0

Exactly. People talking about it’s unfair to make S-Bear Kuma, but that doesn’t need to happen. S-Bear already holds Kumas will. All he’d need are Kumas memories

I do enjoy all the character development bonney and kuma are getting, going by everything we've gotten so far it seems like kuma is going to get a sad ending with him being turned into a robot with no way to regain his memories (since bonney was the one that took them)

I think the expanding aspect interesting as we see her doing with her other moves .
I also want to seemore of her power but i think some have her way more broken than she will end up being .
That is of course Oda even cares to explain anything lol .

lol speak for yourself this flashback has been good as hell... as a father to a girl kuma speaks to me. I haven't wanted to see luffy pop off on someone so badly in quite some time. Icing on top of the cake if saturn is the real daddy.
