I have to admit that the plot and concepts were pretty spectacular in execution imo. Not to open up a can of worms, or maybe it should because that's the point of semi provocative art and allegory, but identity and bullying are two of the biggest concepts you can address with a shonen/all ages gaming demographic. Keep in mind some details are fuzzy because I beat the game last year lol but from the androgyny (of the characters and actually two of the starters), the one kid developing an "online persona" of sorts, the banding together of the fringes it all ties to the gameplay mechanic: tera is choosing an identity.

Sorry if this tangent isn't related to what you mean but I don't think this ever seems to be on the radar

Yeah, I’ll only get to play for a minute tonight since I work early, then I have to get a haircut after work tomorrow so I’ll only get to play a couple hours after that, so I’m asking to work from home on Friday so I can finally sink my teeth into it for a long weekend. CANNOT wait to shiny hunt in the Terrarium, been saving up Herba Mystica in anticipation :ihaha:

The game that was half finished because Pokemon Z was never made
1 sidequest as postgame
unexplored event legendaries (Volcanion's "event" was in ORAS ffs)
Zygarde's gimmick wasn't even introduced this gen
The elite four don't even have a full team
Gym Leaders until like the last 2 of them use 3 Pokemon LMFAO


But yes Pokemon X and Y was the peak of the franchise.

Only thing that got right was the online, which was indeed the best it's ever been :handsup:
