Shibashou looking dangerous and we really aren't sure of what he can do yet - we're gonna get some oustanding feats from him in this war. Riboku’s plan has been working well until now.

That being said...this is Ousen we're talking about lol. I don't doubt Shibashou is a monster of some special kind (and I like I said I very much lean in the "top tier instictual" hypothesis, which could give Ousen a lot of trouble) and Riboku has been working to give his army a way more favorable context than they had at the start...but I very much expect Zhao to get bitten in the ass sooner or later.

ousen is the worst when it come to move generals or give orders in the battle. he just freeze and depends on luck.
he is only good for the grand scheme.

that's a whole bunch of strong fodders other than shin, ouhon and gigakou, and shin and ouhon are not even part of the ousen army but units that move from army to army

Already we are seeing Shibashou’s insights as a general. I am not sure if Riboku is involved in this plan, I’m sure he is to an extent, but similar to all of Shunsuiju’s feats which Riboku was involved with, it still takes a general with actual strategic and tactical knowledge to pull off the timing in an attack like this.

So Shibashou attacks Denrimi, which was a bait designed to lock Denrimi and Sou’Ou where they are. Then so Sou’Ou can’t follow Shibashou to Ousen, Kansaro switches battlefields while Akou still has his hands full with Gakushou, freeing Shibashou up to hit Ousen directly.

As predicted, Shibashou is not a Houken but an actual commander with the ability to read/maneuver/bait armies just like Shi Ei showed at Chiyoyou. Which shouldn’t at all be surprising as Kansaro and Gakushou are actual tacticians themselves so of course Shibashou should have knowledge as a tactician too.

But damn, Hara is already drawing martial units like Shiryou trembling at the sight of Shibashou lol, this does not bode well for Ousen who likely doesn’t have any martial guys on the same level as Akou or Shiryou in his main army. Not that this would help anyway lol.

Well I was hoping for a glorious martial reveal for Shibashou so I can’t say I’m not disappointed right before a break week but oh well. I’m sure the moments of glory are coming soon enough.

Shin and Yotanwa's troops are far away. SBS commanders are too strong. Whether Ousen has any more clever tactics in this difficult situation? lol SBS is not interested in Denrimi and Souou squad. Maybe only Ouhon can be relied on ?

If he takes a year off to recover and train, Hara can easily give him an updated character design.

I don't think there will be any power creep. I think Houken would lose to Shibashou because of weight, as for Kanmei I'd probably still bet on him to win, extreme diff.

As a general though, Shibashou is gonna be a different animal.

Shibashou might be the strongest instinctual in the series so far, yeah? (Assuming he's an instinctual).

Interesting chapter wow. SBS swatting Denrimi’s killing machines easily and then waiting to check if his generals are okay before proceeding towards Ousen was so good. Shiryuu shaking on seeing him was also good portrayal for SBS. We’ll still have one or two hype chapters for SBS before we see Ousen’s response(hope Hara makes him do something good this time instead of keeping him passive). This battle is going on perfectly fine so far. Ousen’s generals vs SBS’s generals (1v1), SBS vs Ousen 1v1. We don’t know if Ousen has some killing beasts like Denrimi or Ousen himself is very strong. Ousen is tactically very good as well.
