Yeah new Gen animation in general

i miss old animations where it could be flashy but also simple at the same time
It's not even about old gen vs new gen. New gen is amazing when animators have enough time and the director is level headed.
Most of S1 was extremely well done and you could actually follow what was happening in fights (except for a small portion of Hanami vs Yuji and Todo, when they were skating on vines)
In this season I struggled to follow anything except for Choso vs Yuji.

Just caught up a couple days ago.

What is the prevailing theory on Tengen and Sukuna?

I believe Gege drew inspiration from Dragon Ball: Tengen and Sukuna were once one entity, but then one day Tengen purged the evil from him like Kami and King Piccolo.

I'm not sure how the Star Plasma Vessel is connected, but I think it became a thing as a consequence of this separation.

We saw that Tengen was a girl (in his original form, i.e. what he started off as) so him and Sukuna being one entity and then splitting isn't totally out of the question, but I heavily doubt it

I think it's closer to this: Sukuna is half curse/ate a curse (there's a great theory on reddit jujutsushi/jujutsufolk about it)

Basically Tengen, over the past 1000 years and especially since the Riko incident has become more curse than human. We know this factually from Kenjaku and Tengen himself.
Then, when Kenjkau finally sees Tengen he notes the similarity between Tengen and Sukuna and iirc calls it ironic or funny.

Imo it points to Sukuna also being closer to a curse than a human. But the way both of them achieved those forms is vastly different - Tengen became such due to his CT while Sukuna's transformation is a mistery and lies probably in jujutsu mastery and the essence of CE

Anyway, look up the "Sukuna ate the Cursed Spirit of Sukuna" theory. It's a banger

Thanks for the heads up.

I'm not dismissing the theory I had as being impossible, but Sukuna eating his own CS makes perfect sense and the visual clues are there. I'm on board with this being the best theory I've seen on it so far.

How do you guys feel about toji with prep time vs yuta?
He still gets hard bodied.Yuta is superior to Pre-Awakened Gojo tbh

Toji loses to every special grade, Hakari, Yuta, Yuki, Adult Geto, Uraume, Bumshimo, Mahito and Yoru

he can probably beat the likes of Uro, Ryu, Maki, Jogo and

Considering his prep against Gojo. Yuta would be even more easier of course.

People are forgetting all the work he had with Gojo. Lol.

First of all, Toji himself was completely unknow to Gojo. Gojo had no idea of his existence, his abilities and his goal.

Second, Toji made sure to waste Gojo physically, mentally and "spiritually" by having a bounty to kill the girl Gojo was meant to protect. So Gojo was exausthed after tons of fights and using his abilities and wasting his cursed energy while having that poor decision of having some more days of vacation instead of going directly to the objective... When Toji finally attacked Gojo he was on the edge of his overall energy.

Third, Toji was completely aware of all abilities of Gojo and had a plan he perfectly executed to counter them all while having help of things like his cursed spirit, those wasps and stuff like that I don't fully remember.

So against Yuta... Yuta may have a huge amount of cursed energy but he isn't self sustainable like Gojo was. He would be depleted way faster and would lose way faster.
Yuta may have more abilities overall but they are not as scary or complicated as Gojo's abilities unless for his Mimicry which I believe wouldn't make a shit against Toji.
Yuuta only advantage would be a greater genius than Gojo what means he would understand Toji purposes and abilities earlier (not that Gojo took a long time).

An honest review would be like. Toji would have an easier time to kill Yuuta and would all rely on either Toji knows or not about Yuuta reversed curse technique.

Of course if we put the two of them to face off 100% fresh Toji would have no chance doesn't matter if they both know or not the other person ability.
