Imu is definitely going to be a guy especially if he is the final villain that Luffy has to fight and defeat.
Also the only reason why some people want Imu to be a girl is so they can make or see lewd fanarts of the character.

He had the perfect energetic voice for Franky in the preskip era, and up till Dressrosa too. His voice did get a bit worse in wano. But now it's just too off man.
