Are you one of those Yonko fanboys who is actually delusional enough to believe that Shanks wasn’t going after the OP because he was just so scared of Kaido and BM? Rayleigh literally told us in Sabaody that the Roger Pirates were “too early”. Given his ties to the CDs and Roger, Shanks likely knew about this and knew that waiting for Nika to emerge was vital for whatever his plans were.
