My definition was confirmed in story by kidd who thanked him for blocking it
You dumb shit
So let me ask you a question.
If I push back a punch for 2 seconds but it still lands does that mean I successfully blocked it?
Like in a normal boxing match. Would that count as a successful block?
In reality we all know it isn't a successful block
If two knights are battling and one knight attempts to block a slash but can't successfully hold it back. Does that still count as a block?
The answer to both of these is no.
They were attempts. They were partially successful. But it wasn't a successful block. It was an attempt. And that's what zoro did. He attempted to block and was thanked for it.
You can ignore reality all you want. We both know that if he truly blocked it then he would have negated the entirety of hakai.
You can "block" 80% of hakai and still be unsuccessful in the end. It's not a proper or sucessful block.
Only zoro fans would argue with the simple reality of the situation. Zoro attempted to block and failed miserably.
He was negged as a result and had every bone in his body broken. He didn't even block 10% of it. Let alone 80% and that still wouldn't qualify as a successful block
