That’s exactly my point tho lmao. You and I can agree on what makes good characterization, but that doesn’t mean we can objectively measure it, cause we can’t.

it’s not a matter of disagreement, cause there is no room for it when it comes to objective truth. Math is an objective measurement system, same goes for exact sciences. But when we talk about art we can’t possibly talk about objectivity, cause it defeats the whole purpose of its subjective nature.
Nah you can measure it. For example we can describe everything that makes up Kuma's character without throwing in what we personally like or dislike, and based on how much we know of the character, we can recognize how much depth and complexity said character has because at the end of the day these characters are created with a purpose from the writer. No matter if we like it or not, thus far Kuma's a good guy thar holds loyalty to those that he holds dear, and had a shitty life. Sure there are details I'm leaving out, but this pretty much describes his character, which isn't much in comparison to other characters within One Piece. This doesn't take my subjective likings into consideration, but simply taking what is given by the writer, and analysising what it is. If you consider someone like Kuma to be a good character, then fine, but it doesn't change the fact that Kuma isn't doesn't have much complexity nor depth in his character.

To be fair an Admiral would have way more stakes, as they can't just regenerate from a Haki punch like that, they'd genuinely just stay fucked up.
I meant an Admiral with regenerative powers. Let's say Marco's powers.

If he had lost an arm after an half dead Kuma punch, and still regenerated after, we would have never heard the end of it. I mean, never ever ever.

A punch that rips arms... reminds me of all the rooftop discussions about swords and blunt attacks. Pushing someone down was a peak feat before S-Hawk sent a Younkou flying across an island! :kobeha:

Holy reach batman!

My man, it is up to the individual to make that judgement based on subjective feeling. But I guess you know more than trained screenwriters.

I mean, let's not pretend people aren't slandering Saturn for this, because they totally are.
Both sides are being a little hypocritical tbh.
