Yep at least luffy already knock down a admiral in one hit this arc .
You had law and kid beating a Yonko before luffy did and that was not a issues.
Everything like usual always depend on context and story of the arc .

Oda really bounced back from the hot garbage that was Wano with this Egghead arc. Very good arc thus far despite the Kuma flashback lasting too long. Even the anime started off well. Shit is about to get real in the next 5-10 chapters.

I can't tell if Luffy's crew takes the L here or not. With the Buster call on the way and Kizaru back up, things have become pretty unpredictable. Now of course Nika Luffy can just plot-kai his way out of this mess but it'll be interesting to see how it all goes down. There should be a major fallout coming no matter what happens.

I hope we get a quick update on Law and Blackbeard before the end of the arc too.

When luffy fighting Saturn we going see eye beam type stuff and more .
Hell Saturn might even do some haki moves lol .

Honestly I don't see why Oda would do Luffy vs Kizaru again from a logical standpoint
Like if he really wanted to keep the fight up then he could have kept them fighting and made them somehow oblivious to what Saturn was doing or made it so Kizaru was purposefully cockblocking Luffy from getting to Saturn and they had to actually get serious against eachother.
But he went a different route, and that shows me he doesn't really care about the matchup anymore.

Oda is clearly building up Kizaru's change of heart.

Just think back to WCI where Oda didnt have Sanji fight anyone signficant yet had Luffy defeat 2 of BMs YCs. There is a threshold where Luffy surpasses a certain level of enemy before his subordinates do the same.

This is why even post-Kizaru, you still have Akainu and the remaining Admirals to fit that mold. Its like the people who couldnt believe Luffy would eventually solo Kaido when everyone got kicked off the roof, it was HIS battle to win.

Now we have an Admiral and Gorosei, the same logic applies. Either he fights one of them and the other survives, or he fights both and they lose. This is essentially the status quo.


Everyone will hate this comment, but Im just trying to lay out some truths and patterns that already exist in this series with Luffy. The Robot seems entirely central and logical to helping Luffy fend off more than one person while in Gear 5. In fact, it even seems like the Robot went to Mariejois to potentially eliminate them if you think about why it was there destroying Mariejoa

It seems that people have quickly forgotten that the ancient robot wasn’t going to Mariejois for vacation.

The only thing that was at Mariejois 200 years ago that is now present on Egghead is Saturn. Another option would be Luffy being able to command it somehow so it aids in carrying the Sunny, but it does seem to be geared toward combat.
