Gear 5th in the anime is much better than in the manga
and i'm guessing it's gonna look even better in the Egghead cartoonish and fluid artstyle, so i'm excited to see Luffy vs Lucci and Luffy vs Kizaru
however, while Gear 5th fights make them look cool and have interesting effects
the fight itself loses all hype for me personally, it just becomes goofy
and yeah, it's funny and looks great, but is that really what i want in a fight?

Nikas entire idea was introduced to the story merely chapters before it was important. That’s one of the worst ways to introduce something that’s supposed to be a major plot.
So the idea that this god of freedom isn’t known in Skypeia where ancient religion was a focal point. Wasn’t rumored in Impel Down the worst prison in the world. Wasnt even mentioned through a Poneglyph.
The lore of Nika was so horribly forced into the manga that it legit feels like it’s something oda didn’t even think of till very recently.

Chapter 1105: The Incident of the Gods
- Saturn says that nobody will survive the Buster Call
- The marines prepare to start the Buster call
- The chapter switches to Zoro and Lucci, Lucci is defeated
- We have a flashback of how Zoro defeated Lucci with an attack weaker than the one he used against King
- The shadow of a giant foot appears on Zoro and he looks at the sky, shocked, with cartoon eyes
- The marines also look at the sky, shocked, with cartoon eyes
- As they look at the sky, a giant whirlpool appears on the sea near Egghead
- We see Dragon appear, in his Amaru Zoan form, creating a giant whirlpool, and the narrator text says "Rain God"
- Then, we switch to Kizaru and he is stopped by Chopper in a new form, the "Forest God"
- Chopper and Kizaru both look at the sky with cartoon eyes
- In an impressive double spread, we see Luffy in Gear 5 preparing his foot for an attack
- Saturn looks at the sky with cartoon eyes
- Kuma finally wakes up to the drums of liberation, like the ancient robot, and he starts crying with Bonney
- In the final page of the chapter, we see Imu's real identity and the narrator text says "Earth God"
- Ethanbaron says "It seems like there is a need for a great cleansing"
