Read that. Oda said op will end in 5 years. In 2019. We KNOW FOR A FACT that his slow ass ain't finishing it in a year. Even if we take into account the missed chapters due to covid and stuff, he still ain't finishing it in 2-3 years.
so the first part of that interview is complete bogus.
then, the part that mentions the op ending claim.
He says, the most exciting part of luffy's adventure, finding op, will end. Not that the story will be immediately ending the chapter after op reveal.
It's all basic interview fluff. Oda has never kept a promise regarding manga timelines lol. so believing him in the op ending prediction at face value is disingenuous as fuck.
And if you used a little bit of your brain, you would have understood that op wont end after op treasure is found. It's literally what starts the final arc.

He is specifically talking about the final chapter in the interview. And this was the most recent one after wano ending from 2022
This is not about his bs claims of timeline. This is about the final chapter, something which he has thought about since the beginning. He stated also that some thing regarding that changes, but ultimately the final thing is still One Piece.
