Luffy is a monkey... That's it. There is no Tiger vs. Dragon theme here. Kaido just happened to be inspired by an Eastern Dragon, while Dragon probably by a Western one.

It doesn't mean that everything else about dragons in Chinese mythology has to be applied to One Piece, because Kaido's Zooan DF was inpired by an eastern dragon.

Yeah, the sword was left to Momonosuke, who can in no way shape or form wield it to avenge his father. So who do you think that responsibility will fall on? Yes the defeat/killing of Orochi is equally comparable to most famous (worldwide even) legend of the Ryuma.

That's is remembered after centuries and make him be called Sword God Ryuma.
