All true. A lot of the strawhats have been on ice all post-timeskip. But they're going to have to start concluding their arcs. That's what I liked about the Saul chapter, it set up Robin's conclusion as a character. I at least expect something for all of them. Chopper hasn't been a character in like 15 years but Oda has to have something for even him.

See and that’s what people thought about Wano with Zoro. But it didn’t do anything for his character arc. Hell it basically completely ignored it…

WCI started good for Sanji, but it had no conclusion for his character arc either. Queen was a decent stand in for the germa siblings, but there’s been no conclusion to it.

I had issues with a few things already before Wano, but I was still hopeful. Then Oden, Oden cosplayer & co shatted my illusions.

I started feeling the series again during Egghead though, and I still think the arc can end up being one of the best post-ts ones. But this last chapter, man... I guess the realization that Elbaf will be more Nika wankfest...

One Piece has been Lu-ffys story first and foremost since chapter 1. Every single character in the Straw Hat crew puts Lu-ffy's dream above their own, that's half of Zoro's character arc for gods sake.

To me it wasnt even Oden I didn’t even mind the wank until the Roger flashback when oda retconned the story to make oden cool.

And my biggest hope from this chapter is the same thing I’ve called for egghead for a few months now, seeing that Elbaf is an island full of Nika worshippers and where Luffys going next, Imu will call for another genocide game.

Get Sakazuki, the holy knights, and the gorosei all there. Sure it’ll mean Nika wank will be there, but it’ll also mean this wank pushes the plot instead of just Luffy fare

FI was a pretty lame arc that could’ve been reduced to 20 chapters but what can we say
Punk Hazard and Dressrosa are one of my favs, pacing was terrible but the plot and characters involved were peak
WCI was hot garbage, and I dropped the manga at the time only to come back at Nika awakening 💀

Egghead is not half bad with all the events going on, but yeah something hits different after Luuffy changed to Nika, it’s like we have a new MC now lol

I'm not totally on board with that. I really liked WCI for Sanji and with Pudding back in the story, his conclusion seems in sight as well. I think his epilogue will be marrying Pudding and running a restaurant with her. The soldier of science is obviously an ongoing thing, we'll see where it goes.

Zoro did have something in Wano - the Shimotsuki village flashback and the king of hell stuff being his way of overcoming his fear of dying before reaching his goal - which was good, but not enough to meet the expectations for Wano, hence ZKK. Of course, Zoro's development now can only come from fights and there's not too many swordsmen left who can give him a challenge. What I really want is for Tashigi to get involved with Zoro again. Mihawk is the obvious conclusion to his character, he's really just waiting for him now / waiting for Oda to let him learn advanced haki.
