Yea now that i think abiut it.. It might have just grazed him good on his side coz it wouldn't make sense for the beam not to pierce his body but there being blood behind sanji as if he got pierced right through.

Expectations are extremely important to me and the more the story goes on, the more reluctant I become to accept anything not to my taste. Especially when it doesn't make any sense. Egghead and Wano repeatedly disrupted any coherence the story had and undermined my enjoyment of the series. Big names don't make an arc better by themselves, they make it worse if they fail their purpose.

Even counting what happened outside of the island, only the Kid pirates being obliterated by Shanks was flawless. Sabo's was ok, even though the mother flame "killing" him was poorly written. Garp and Law vs the BB pirates was cool but any hype revolving around the BB pirates was shattered and they'll never get it back. A perfect parallel to the strawhats minus Nika and Zoro.
Koby's attack was one of the worst moments of the entire manga, on par with Sanji failed attempt to save Nika on Cocoa Island and just slightly better than Kid and Law v Big Mom

How is Kobys attack one of the worst moments? It’s just showing how strong bro has become and the potential he has. We literally had nothing before that point……. And That Sanji take is weird, what bad has he done that’s worse then anything he before Zou? You want the truth????The worst of Sanjis character is in the Fishman island - Dressrosa era After that the character either stays steady or improves. I don’t recall Sanji attempting to save Luffy in this arc. Egghead Sanji is fine , the gags are lower than usual , the power level is accurate and about where he should be, you don’t go from beating a YC2 to competing with Admirals or Saturn least not without a power up.Its not Wano to where each strawhat gets a 1v1 fight.So everythings fine tbh

the yellow circle is sanji arm in the air but the close up panel for sanji his arm is by his side which makes no sense

the red circles are sanji's arms by his leg which is blocking the attack

the arm in the air is no where near his leg circled in yelloe
