Versus Battle WorstGen’s Second Annual (???) Great General’s Tournament: Bracket Round 2

The rules:

-The rules are simple, vote for whoever you think would win the scenario presented. We will try to do more scenarios than just straight 1v1 army battles to keep it interesting.

-Winners will be determined by poll vote, so make sure to vote and convince everyone that yours is the one true agenda!

-I will try to do as much as I can to keep these tournament scenarios interesting, but definitely let me know if you guys have any cool ideas.

-You are allowed to use historical spoilers in discussions, but spoiler tag them and people don’t have to read them if they don’t want to.

I used a tournament maker app to keep the opening brackets random, but for some reason Duke Hyou and Yotanwa got immediate advantages. I do not know why this is but far be it from me to quibble about my own parameters. Here are the brackets:

Make sure to read each commander’s subs and armies!

The Bracket round is a straightforward army vs army battle on flat terrain.

Seikai

-Since he has no known subs, he will start this battle with 180k soldiers

VERSUS

Gokei

-He will have all of the subordinate commanders he had on Dakan Plains (Kyugen, Hakukisai and the two assassins)
-He will have 100 Wei War Chariots
-100k men

Overall Gokei's portrayal is far superior. Seikai is one of the few great generals Hara actually disrespected

It might be better for Generals with no subordinates to just have them face an opposing General with their subordinates taken away.

Like if you want to pitch Duke Hyou against Renpa in one round then have them face off against each other as lone commanders. If Renpa wins and the full Ouki Army is his next opponent then bring back his subordinates. If Hyou wins and the full Ouki Army is next, then strip Ouki of his subordinates and have him face Hyou as the sole commander.

I think that works better than trying to give the no subs blokes a minor extra manpower boost. Lol.

I’ll consider it actually. @Bullet made a similar point. We may save subordinates for the later rounds lol. A tournament like this will get pretty boring if we never include them at all but maybe brackets have no subs going forward.

Fortunately subs really didn’t change anything in the first 2 rounds. Lol
