That's a problem of shonen in general, characters rarely use their strongest moves at the beginning of a fight/round
Like all of Kizaru moves have been looking weaker than his introduction kick in Sabaody i swear, lmao.

A kizaru kick don't matter as much any more as you said that is how shonen goes .
Kizaru can doing much stronger moves etc etc but he will never look as powerful as SB ever again .

It doesn't work like that mate. Lucci is an exceptionally skilled fighter and has been holding Zoro in CQC for a while, meaning he's not giving him room to attack, and vice versa. If Lucci lands Shuugan Zoro is finished too.
It's an offscreen anyway and we don't know what happened, but the intent is clear

Gear5 is just levels above Zoro physically, you have to deal with that for a while
Zoro vs Gear4 and below is still open for debate
