During the 6th book harry and dumbledore has these memory explorations sessions with a good amount of lore about Voldemort.
Then, in the end, the death eaters invade hogwarts and there's a fight between them and the order of phoenix.
They've cut both of these things.
In the 6th movie there was memory explorations
- dumbledore meets tom riddle as a kid
- tom asks prof. Slughorn about horcrux

I only read Book 1 so far of Harry Potter in English (I watched all movies multiple times).

The Book hit much much differently than the movie and it's not the Book that was the least well adapted.

You don't picture the characters the same way and there are little things that happen in the books that you don't have in the movie.
