I hated that it randomly drops like 30 side quests on you right before the last main mission. They should have paced them out better the overall pace of the gameplay was really bad imo.

I also don’t like the second half of the story and wish Joshua stayed dead.

Felt like it had a GoT story type set up but then turned into a generic ultimate evil story like every other FF game.

The bosses were peak though and I’ve heard the first DLC boss was really good and that they’re adding a leviathan one, but I don’t want to play it again

first DLC boss fight is so good

I hear you that it shifted too much from GOT to Generic God FF typical shit. I personally wouldn't have done it but I do appreciate it more now that I've replayed it a couple of times

I hated Barnabas in my first play through for how kinda just irrelevant he was. But now lowkey think hes underrated

Joshua coming back to life is a bit meh but I kinda like how the end of the game is the inverse of his and Clives arcs at the beginning of the game.

Joshua wanted to be Clives Shield and die to protect him so he could be 'reborn' again and live in the new world without magic compared to the start of the game
