G5 + the writing in egghead has ruined the the hype/tension for the endgame. What we're seeing right now is very likely to happen to IMU. There are definitely ways Oda could have done egghead to maintain the aura/hype/strength of the admirals and gorosei...but the complete opposite has happened.

The only characters that have that aura left are Akainu/IMU. BB has no aura and never will.

When the manga ends, and people re-read it again, their brains will make "click" and they will start to see the main failure started at Wano and taking the "Gods" shit too literal.
