Well it'd be interesting if Oda decided to delve deeper into the themes of alcoholism in this scenario. You have the alcoholic father who abuses his child, but when he's sober he tries to make it up to him/her by being the loving father figure who promises the World, but ends up breaking those promises everytime they drink again.

He is drunk pretty much all the time. But he is probably trying his best.

Yup I agree. One of the best thing Oda does is gives his antagonists depth. We've seen it plenty of times throughout the story, so I'm positive we're going to learn more about what makes Kaido tick. Exploring the man behind the "curtain" will make the inevitable battle that much more engaging.

Imagine ur daughter admires ur enemy for 20 years.

That will be painful for Kaido as her Father. This could lead my assumption if Kaido is suicidal because he wants an attention from Yamato.
He want Yamato admit/admire him as her father.

Sequence of events ( my headcanon)
- Yamato witnessed the finest hour and is inspired by Oden and chose to become him
- Yamato went to Kuri and found Oden's journal
- Ace arrives in Wano
- Ace meets/befriends Tama
- Tama tells Ace about Kaido and Orochi
- Ace gets pissed and wants to challenge Kaido
- Ace arrives at Onigashima and instead fights Yamato
- Ace beats Yamato, so Kaido wants to recruit him as HIS ace
- Ace refuses and gets thrown in Udon. Yamato visits him, hears the story about Tama, learns about Luffy and Sabo, befriends and then frees Ace
- News of Ace's execution somehow reaches Wano (if Orochi can contact CP0, they must be able to get news from the WG)
- Yamato pleaded with Kaido to save Ace
- Kaido begrudgingly agrees, because he wants to impress his daughter
- Kaido is stopped by Shanks enroute to Marineford
- Ace is killed
- Word of Luffy ringing the bell at Marineford reaches Wano
- Yamato knows Luffy has to travel to Wano for the poneglyph to reach Laftel because she had read Oden's journal, hence why she said she was waiting for him

Noticed upon closer look that Yamato seems to have... two hair colors? Her hair is having dark strands the more it goes down. I wonder what scholor scheme she is going to have in that case.

And for all those who think she looks similar to Nami? I don't know where you're coming from?

Nami: Side bangs, wavy hair
Yamato: Middle parted micro bangs, her hair is more straight

Nami: One hair color
Yamato: (seems to have) two hair colors

Nami: simple cute eyes
Yamato: More detail in eyelashes, especially lower ones

I do think that Yamatos face is very oddly drawn though, it is sort of unlike Odas style. Either that or he messed it up accidentally. It's mainly her left eye (from our point of view) sits wrong.

Exactly, they're only looking skin deep, in a sense... she's still noticeably different.
