I was thinking that the WG would be the endgame but considering their appearance here, I think its safe to say that they are this sagas main villains. We were getting the updates from different places and BB making a lot of moves but they never had the confrontation like the Gorosei are having now.

Yami can negate Nika and Gura can land significant blows. Ofcourse Luffy will do damages as well

That is the reason haki importance is practical non existent in this arc. Against Blackbeard haki especially conqueror haki and barrier will play a significant role like it did in wano. And I think it will play a role against gorosei but not putting hopes on that given how CoC coatig is forgotten in this arc.
